Ford and Mecum Auctions Settle Lawsuit Over $1.7 Million Resale of Ford GT

A 2017 Ford GT supercar popped up on Mecum Auctions’ website in May, but it wasn’t just its 647 horsepower or potential to sell for triple MSRP that garnered attention: It was also whether Ford would sue Mecum for selling it at all. Ford did, the day the car sold, and the lawsuit ended in a settlement this week.

John Cena’s 2017 Ford GT Sells Yet Again, This Time for $1.3 Million

Professional wrestler John Cena’s former 2017 Ford GT, which wasn’t supposed to be resold for two years, has been resold a whopping five known times since he got the car a year ago. It most recently went on the block at Mecum, again, and sold for around $1.3 million—a decent chunk less than it fetched last time.
