John Cena’s 2017 Ford GT Sells Yet Again, This Time for $1.3 Million

Professional wrestler John Cena’s former 2017 Ford GT, which wasn’t supposed to be resold for two years, has been resold a whopping five known times since he got the car a year ago. It most recently went on the block at Mecum, again, and sold for around $1.3 million—a decent chunk less than it fetched last time.

Nobody Wants This Ford GT

Mecum Auctions sold a 2017 Ford GT for nearly $1.7 million in May, much to the distress of Ford and its buyer contract that, on paper, aimed to prevent quick resales. But rather than finding a true home at Mecum, this Ford GT found an expensive game of hot potato. It goes back to auction at the end of August.

Ford Missed Its Production Target for the First Year of Building the Ford GT
