Kia Stinger GT Stings Ford Mustang GT In Quarter-Mile Competition Again

Kia’s Stinger GT is remarkably similar to Ford’s Mustang GT in that they’re fun to drive, about the same price, similarly beautiful, and pretty darn close on the drag strip. Given ideal conditions and an ideal driver, the Mustang GT will eke out a victory in the quarter mile, but as has been proven before, and again…

You’ve subscribed to their YouTube channel, you’ve smashed that like button countless times, and maybe you’ve even donated some cash to their Patreon. ShareTube Lets You and Your Friends Watch YouTube Videos In Sync Together

ShareTube Lets You and Your Friends Watch YouTube Videos In Sync Together

Watching YouTube videos together with your friends can be fun, but it’s a pain to make sure you’re all watching something at the same time. ShareTube does the work for you, syncing playback of videos for everyone in the room.

This concept isn’t entirely new. We’ve seen it before with sites like Plug.dj (may it rest in peace) and Dubtrack. However, unlike those sites, ShareTube isn’t just geared towards music videos. You can still create playlists of shared videos and chat about each one, but there’s no voting on tracks, cutesy avatars, or warnings if you play long videos. Instead, you can search for any video on YouTube and add it to the queue. It’s a relatively basic site that performs a simple, but handy function.

PewDiePie Puts Insufferable Supercar YouTubers In Their Place

I have a hard time caring about supercars unless they’re being used for super-hoonage, so YouTubers bragging about sweet new rides they’ll only use to hard park in Monaco have always rubbed me the wrong way. Fortunately, YouTube star PewDiePie’s new ride blows all of those basic supercar videos away.

Try Out a New, Experimental Design For YouTube With This Browser Tweak

Try Out a New, Experimental Design For YouTube With This Browser Tweak

Chrome: YouTube’s design on the web hasn’t changed much over the years, but Google seems to be looking into updating the old site. If you want to try out the new look before it goes live, here’s how.

As Reddit user giorgiomarinel points out, Google’s currently testing a new look for YouTube based on its Material Design guidelines. We don’t know when it will roll out, but you can try it now, if you’re comfortable tinkering with Chrome’s developer console. To do it, follow gieorgiomarinel’s steps here:

1) go to https:www.youtube.com/?gl=US

2) open the developer tools (ctrl + shift + i)

3) go to the `Resources´ tab and delete the VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE cookie for the youtube domain

4) go to the console and define the VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE cookie using the following command:

document.cookie=”VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=Qa1hUZu3gtk;path=/;domain=.youtube.com”;

5) reload the page

You can also reuse your VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE cookie.

I tried this out myself and at first it didn’t work on the YouTube page I was already logged in with. However, when I tried it incognito mode, it worked just fine. It might also not work in other browsers, but you can try it out for yourself!

In most places, the new design look much like the old site, but with a bit of polish. The most noticeable change, as you can see above, is on profile pages, which now use a much bigger header image and a cleaner tabbed interface.

The Prince Playlist

The Prince Playlist

Today, we lost legendary artist and performer Prince. Instead of our usual weekly featured playlist, we’ve gathered up a collection of Prince’s live performances to remember how fantastic a person and artist he truly was.

Much of Prince’s music isn’t available on streaming services, but a few live performances are available on YouTube. Which is perfect: Prince excelled at showmanship, so it’s fitting to revisit his work on stage, including the time he played Purple Rain at the Super Bowl during a downpour, which was absolutely legendary.
